This assessment provides general information only and does not constitute legal advice.

Can you clearly identify the Chinese company or other party you intend to pursue?
Do you have a written contract, purchase order, invoice, quotation, or other transaction records?
Do you have evidence of payment or the financial obligation owed to you?
Do you have evidence showing the other party’s breach, non-performance, or wrongful conduct?
Have you preserved relevant emails, messages, notices, and other communications?
Do you have shipping, delivery, inspection, acceptance, or other performance records?
Can you identify and document the amount of your claim or loss?
Do your documents connect the transaction and alleged breach to the Chinese legal entity involved?
Have you checked the contract for arbitration, jurisdiction, and governing-law provisions?
Have you considered limitation periods and other timing requirements?
Do you have useful information about the defendant’s business, assets, or ongoing operations?
Have you made or documented a clear written demand or other pre-litigation notice?
